The teams of EarlyON Centres have the wonderful privilege of not only working with the children in their programs but also in partnering with families along the journey as their children grow and learn. This series, which aligns with the former Family Support Series or may be taken separately, offers Educators an opportunity to explore what supporting risk and challenge in a multi-age grouping might look like. Discussions will take place related to strategies for empowering families as partners in their child’s journey through How Does Learning Happen? and making children’s learning visible. The series will offer participants the opportunity to reflect on their current practices and explore other resources available to support daily practice.
What does How Does Learning Happen? look like with Families? (only)
A foundational principle of How Does Learning Happen? is that children thrive in early years programs where families are valued as active participants in their children’s learning. The session will offer opportunities for Educators and families to highlight and share in children’s learning, utilizing a side-by- side, in the moment approach.
