As an Educator, being able to spot indicators of stress and meeting a child’s needs to reduce that stress is your superpower. Meeting those needs in FUN ways that feel relaxed and connective while maintaining physical distancing is your secret ingredient for creating a light classroom environment. Now, more than ever, it is important for children to develop their sense of spatial awareness and how they move within their world. We all need to take a collective deep breath and do whatever we can to bring peace, joy, and opportunities for calm in our programs. Join Lisa Clarke for this session which is filled with mindfulness practices for self-awareness & fine motor development, as well as mindful movement opportunities through yoga, storytelling, and dance.
Lisa Clarke has played various roles in the Early Childhood Professional community over the course of her life. As the daughter of an RECE and Childcare Operator, she has seen all sides of the industry and brings a unique perspective when it comes to owning your role as a role model within it. In 2015, Lisa founded laLa wellness, a yoga and mindfulness-based program for children in their early years. Through laLa, Lisa has trained Early Childhood Professionals all over Ontario and the United States and has made her way onto the bookshelves in Early Childhood Classrooms through her children’s book, I’m a Growing Yogi.
Lisa is now the owner of The Aura House, a multi-modality studio space in the heart of Downtown Brampton, offering yoga, meditation, dance, breathwork, pilates, reiki & crystal healing practices in-studio and online
