Oshawa Venue - Physical Literacy in School Age Programs

Part of the Speaking the Languages of School Age Children Series.

Adults assume that young people are naturally active; however, current research is indicating that this is not always the case as they are now engaging in high levels of sedentary behaviours and low levels of physical activity.  Levels of physical activity in the early years are indicators of physical activity in later life and health, and are the foundation for physical literacy.

Educators have an important role to play in supporting young people to develop the disposition to become physically literate and physically active. If you would like to engage in reflective conversations and gain strategies on how to enhance physical literacy within your school age program, join us for this interactive, hands-on workshop.
