The successful candidates will have the following qualifications and skills:

• Canada Summer Jobs requirements: applicant is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment; is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, S.C. 2001, c. 27*; and is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations. *International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

The Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC) is seeking Summer Students for the positions outlined below. The positions will begin Monday May 25 and end Friday July 17, 2026. Renumeration for all 3 positions is $19/hour. Consideration for a blend of in-person and remote work may be possible.

The Education Consultant will support the work of ECCDC’s Resource and Information Services Department. This position will be responsible for developing educational resource materials for Niagara’s early learning educators to access through the ECCDC resource lending library or online E-store. The focus of these educational resources will be on diversifying current resources and creating new resources to support our Francophone, Indigenous, and Spanish communities. The Education Consultant would also be responsible for increasing our offerings of popular resources and researching current trends to ensure the ECCDC has ample resources to support these trends.
