Job Requirements
The successful candidates will have the following qualifications and skills:
  • Canada Summer Jobs requirements: applicant is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment; is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, S.C. 2001, c. 27*; and is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations. *International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative and innovation in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high level of personal integrity.
  • Ability to adapt and change daily plans as needed.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, or experience in, the early years sector would be an asset, but not required.

Job Description
The Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC) is seeking Summer Students for the positions outlined below. The positions will begin Monday May 25 and end Friday July 17, 2026. Renumeration for all 3 positions is $19/hour. Consideration for a blend of in-person and remote work may be possible.

The Curriculum Developer will support the work of ECCDC’s Coaching and Mentoring Team through reviewing ECCDC training materials and assisting in the development of supplemental training resources inclusive of key points, information, and visuals that complement and summarize professional learning sessions in alignment with Ontario’s early learning and child care frameworks.

This position has been funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. The Early Childhood Community Development Centre is an equal opportunity employer.
