Every Family Belongs: Equity-Centered Practices to Foster 2SLGBTQ+ Belonging within Early Childhood Spaces

With Dr. Dane Marco Di Cesare, Brock University

Early childhood professionals play a vital role in shaping inclusive spaces where all families feel seen, respected, and safe. Building on previous webinars, this session takes a deeper dive into creating affirming environments for sexual and gender diverse youth and families. We'll explore strategies to support pronoun use, communicate effectively with families of all structures (including 2SLGBTQ+), and strengthen relationships grounded in respect, openness, and equity. Together, we’ll identify what “safe space” really means in practice—moving from performative gestures to meaningful, everyday actions.
