'The 4'S of Authentic Inclusion.' Helping Children with Disabilities Feel Safe and Seen in Early Learning Settings
With Lisa Pinhorn
At Empowered Parents, we are firm believers that our entire culture benefits when we fully embrace the diversity that surrounds us. I have been discussing inclusion practices for over 25 years, and this is what I see - in small pockets of our world, in extraordinary spaces, creative and compassionate people understand the power of relationships and emotional safety. When we authentically include and support everyone, magical things happen. Child care settings and classrooms can become safe places where children can learn, be creative, move, dance, express emotions, and make friends.
