Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), & proof of membership in good standing with the College
of ECEs
- Previous Child Care experience
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C certification
- A clear and satisfactory criminal reference check inclusive of the vulnerable sector search (CRC VSS) issued for the YMCA of Niagara

YMCA Child Care - Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Niagara Falls, ON

Pay
RECE ($19.03 + $2.00 WEG + $1.00 RECE premium)
After 3 month probation period:
YMCA Health/Dental Benefits, paid sick days and generous vacation
plan. YMCA Membership benefits and ECCDC Membership

Employment Type (Permanent) Full Time – 40 hours a week
(Availability between 7am-6pm required)
Evenings/weekends may be required for trainings and meetings

NATURE & SCOPE

The role of the RECE is to help carry out the day-to-day operations of the Child Care Centre. Helping to implement
programs for children in care within the requirements of the current curriculum.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the care and safety of the children
- Organize and implement activities for the group as outlined in the YMCA Playing To Learn curriculum
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents, children and fellow staff
- Participate in training sessions when required including Food Handlers Certification
- Participate in training and adhere to the YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures as established by the YMCA of Niagara
