Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Demonstrated 10 years experience in a supervisory role within a early learning centre
• RECE (in good standing with the C.E.C.E.) or other diploma/degree in the Child Care Field
• Proven ability to be a visionary, facilitator, planner
• Demonstrated administrative and management knowledge and skills through previous employment
• Knowledge of child care services, related support agencies and relevant legislation including CCEYA, Privacy legislation, employee standards, health & safety and related policies
• Demonstrated financial management and budgeting experience
• Effective communication skills orally and in writing
• Commitment in participating in on-going professional development and identifying on-going training and professional development required by the team
• Valid driver’s license
• Willing to provide a compliant vulnerable sector check upon acceptance of the position

Job Description
Child’s View Child Care Services is now hiring an Executive Director for a growing child care organization within the community of Grimsby, Ontario. We currently operate two child care centres with a third child care centre opening up in September 2024. We offer child care from 0-12 years of age. Our staff are knowledgeable, caring & compassionate in the work they do with children and their families. We believe in lifelong learning. We use a “family first” approach with our team to support them in their life with work integration.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The Executive Director oversees the organizations operations including facility management, recruitment and retention of 30 staff, financial management, and compliance of all licensing requirements
• The Executive Director keeps up to date on all legislation related to Human Resource Management ensuring that all policies and procedures are compliant with legislation and reviews with our legal counsel as needed or when legislation changes
• The Executive Director ensures overall financial oversight for the organization’s revenue and expenses, budget preparation and centre spending with support from the organization’s bookkeeper. The Executive Director completes all fee schedules and bank deposits on a regular basis.
• The Executive Director develops and updates all Health & Safety related policies and procedures and maintains and keeps up to date all employee health information
• The Executive Director is the organizations liaison with the Niagara Region’s Children’s Services as the organization’s funder for CWELCC. As such, required reporting and documentation is a significant requirement of this position
• The Executive Director establishes good community connections with other child care organizations and our Niagara Region funders through networking opportunities and sits on child care related committees
• Demonstrating to the Board of Director team, accountability, transparency and oversight

JOB TYPE: FULL TIME Monday to Friday
