Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered Early Childhood Educator & proof of membership in good standing with the College of ECE.
• Previous Child Care experience.
• Current immunizations as required by Niagara Regional Public Health and the Ministry of Education.
• Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C certification.
• Food Handlers certification preferred.
• Upon hiring, a clear and satisfactory criminal reference check inclusive of the vulnerable sector search (CRC VSS) issued for the YMCA of Niagara.

NATURE & SCOPE
The role of the RECE is to help carry out the day-to-day operations of the Child Care Centre. Helping to implement programs for children in care within the requirements of the current curriculum. The Child Care Centre comprises of infant, toddler, preschool and before & after school age care.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the care and safety of the children.
• Organize and implement activities for the group as outlined in the YMCA Playing To Learn curriculum.
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents, children and fellow staff.
• Participate in training sessions when required including Food Handlers Certification.
• Participate in training and adhere to the YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures as established by the YMCA of Niagara.
• Other duties as required.
