Hours/Week:Full Time (Contract – 1 Year maternity leave) – 40 hours per week Must be available within 7am-6pm – Monday thru Friday.

Hourly Wage:$24.86 per hour (Salary $51,708) Inclusive of all government funding

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• Registered Early Childhood Educator & proof of membership in good standing with the College of ECE.
• Previous Child Care experience.
• Current immunizations as required by Niagara Regional Public Health and the Ministry of Education.
• Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C certification.
• Food Handlers certification preferred.
• Upon hiring, applicants must be 18 years of age and older and submit a clear and satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) issued for the YMCA of Niagara.

Job Description
Registered Early Childhood Educator – Maternity Leave

Location: YMCA Childcare Centre - Our Lady of the Holy Rosary – Thorold

Pay: $24.86 per hour (Salary $51,708) Inclusive of all government funding
YMCA Health/Dental benefits and Pension after 3-month probation
3 weeks paid vacation
YMCA Membership benefits and free ECCDC membership

Employment Type Full Time (Contract – 1 Year maternity leave) – 40 hours per week

NATURE & SCOPE
The role of the RECE is to help carry out the day-to-day operations of the Child Care Centre. Helping to implement programs for children in care within the requirements of the current curriculum. The Child Care Centre comprises of infant, toddler, preschool and before & after school age care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the care and safety of the children.
• Organize and implement activities for the group as outlined in the YMCA Playing To Learn curriculum.
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents, children and fellow staff.
• Participate in training sessions when required including Food Handlers Certification.
• Participate in training and adhere to the YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures as established by the YMCA of Niagara.
• Other duties as required.
