The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
• Enrolled as a full-time student in a post-secondary program of studies related to marketing and/or event management is an asset.
• Must be a Canadian Citizen between the ages of 15 and 30 years old.
• Ability to work independently with initiative and innovation in an efficient and timely manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high level of personal integrity.
• Ability to adapt and change daily plans as needed.
• Demonstrated knowledge of, or experience in, the early years sector would be an asset, but not required.

The Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC) is seeking an Event Marketing Specialist to support the work of the Training and Events Team through researching and developing a range of unique marketing plans and social media engagement strategies. This position will also support the development of blog posts related to child development to support the ongoing learning and engagement of Niagara’s early learning sector. The Event Marketing Specialist will also support the development and implementation of events and training that are offered to educators across Niagara. Consideration for a blend of in-person and remote work is possible.
