Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
• Must be a Canadian Citizen between the ages of 15 and 30 years old.
• Enrolled as a full-time student in a post-secondary program of study related to early learning and child care.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of developmentally appropriate early learning environments.
• Keen interest in reading and researching emerging trends in the early learning and child care field.
• Ability to work independently with initiative and innovation in an efficient and timely manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in word processing and other related software programs.
• Effective written and oral communication skills; and
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high level of personal integrity.
• Valid driver’s license or access to reliable transportation.

Job Description
The Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC) is seeking a Resource Planning Consultant to support the work of the ECCDC’s Resources and Information Services Department. The successful candidate would be responsible for the development of resources, events, communiqués, and marketing related to current trends in Early Learning and Child Care. Consideration for a blend of in-person and remote work is possible.

The Resource Planning Consultant will support the work of the ECCDC’s Resources and Information Services Department. This position will be responsible for developing educational resource materials for Niagara’s early learning educators to access through the ECCDC resource lending library or online E store at www.eccdc.org. This includes all tasks associated with researching and sourcing materials, prepping items for borrowing and offering developmental curriculum extension ideas. The Resource Planning Consultant will have an opportunity to collaborate
with the Resource and Information Team to develop library member engagement activities and will design a range of marketing materials to advertise the available resources to educators within Niagara and across the province.
