Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator, or Director Approval (by the Ministry of Education) post secondary education.
  • Minimum of 2 years licensed child care experience (regulation 137/15).
  • Current immunizations as required by Niagara Regional Public Health and the Ministry of Education.
  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C certification. 
  • Upon hiring, applicants must be 18 years of age and older and submit a clear and satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) issued for the YMCA of Niagara.

Job Description
RECE Supervisor or Director Approved Before & After School

Location: YMCA Child Care Centre: Father Hennepin, Niagara Falls

Pay: $25.86 - $26.64 per hour, Inclusive of all government funding
LTD, Group Life, AD&D, Health and Dental after 3 month probation
YMCA Membership and free ECCDC membership
Eligible to enroll in the YMCA of Niagara pension plan after 2 years of service

NATURE & SCOPE

The role of the Supervisor is to oversee all aspects of the Child Care Centre. This includes programming and working directly with the children in ratio, administrative functions and coaching staff team. The Child Care Centre comprises of before & after school age care. for children 3.8-12 years of age.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance and direction to develop positive team interaction between staff, parents, and children. 
  • Assume liaison between school, parents, children and staff. 
  • Submit monthly regional subsidy trackers, children attendances and Health and Safety reports.
  • Ensure that the centre meets or surpasses all Ministry of Education licensing requirements
  • Represent the YMCA in a positive and professional manner. 
  • Participate in training and adhere to the YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures as established by the YMCA of Niagara. 
  • Provide leadership to the Stronger Together Campaign. 
  • Other duties as required.
