The Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC) and Niagara Region Children Services are currently accepting nominations from licensed child care programs in Niagara that wish to recognize the outstanding achievements of a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE). To receive the Commitment to Continuous Professional Learning and Community Collaboration Award, the nominee must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators and model excellence in exemplifying the College's Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice in his or her day-to-day work. Nominators are asked to submit information about the nominee by responding to the questions below as well as ensure the nominee has a ticket for the event.
This is a juried award and all nomination forms will be reviewed. The recipient will be announced during the awards ceremony. Nominations must be received by the ECCDC

For more than 30 years, the ECCDC has supported Niagara's early learning and child care community on their journey of excellence, professionalism, innovation, and commitment. Niagara Region Children's Services, as a system service manager, is committed to supporting quality early learning opportunities for Niagara's children and their families. Early Childhood Educator Professionalism Award
The Early Childhood Community Development Centre is currently accepting nominations from Supervisors of licensed child care programs and school principals in Niagara that wish to recognize the outstanding achievements of a Registered or Designated Early Childhood Educator (RECE/DECE) or Support Staff (Non-RECE). To receive the Early Childhood Educator Professionalism Award, the nominee would model excellence and professionalism in applying Ontario's Learning Frameworks in their daily work and in developing relationships with children, families and their colleagues. Nominators are asked to submit information about the nominee by responding to the questions below, as well as ensure that the nominee has a ticket for the event.

The Early Childhood Community Development Centre is currently accepting nominations from supervisors of early learning and child care programs in Niagara that wish to be recognized for demonstrating Eco-Friendly Child Care Practices in all areas of their child care centre operations. This award is sponsored by the Regional Municipality of Niagara, Children's Services; one award recipient will be selected and will be announced during the awards ceremony. Kelly Albanese Child Care Program Inclusion Award
The Inclusive Child Care Supports Committee is currently accepting nominations from Resource Consultant/Behaviour Consultant agencies in Niagara that wish to recognize a child care program that demonstrates exceptional inclusive practice. There is no nomination fee; however, you must submit information about the nominee by filling out the questions below. It will need to be confirmed that the successful award winner has at least one staff in attendance at the event. Please note that all submissions will be reviewed by the ICCSC committee and one award recipient will be selected. The recipient will be announced during the awards ceremony. 3. ISP: How the educators embrace and bring to life the implementation of the ISP
4. Initiative: Seeks out opportunities for professional growth, is actively engaged in the successful developmental growth of the child, advocates for the needs of each individual child and family.
5. Environment: All educators incorporate flexibility, child-led interests, and environmental adaptations to promote opportunities for full participation for every child. Environment is set up to promote the development of self-regulation skills for all the children.

Kindergarten Team Award
The District School Board of Niagara and Niagara Catholic District School Board are currently accepting nominations from school principals that support Kindergarten programs in Niagara that wish to recognize their Kindergarten Teams for their outstanding efforts. In order to be recognized, the team nominees must exemplify the Kindergarten Program's six (6) Fundamental Principles in their day-to-day work with children, their families and other educators. There is no nomination fee; however, you must submit information on the nominees, providing evidence for all the criteria below and please ensure your nominees have a ticket for the event. Recipients will be announced during the awards ceremony. Nominations must be received by the ECCDC

Licensed Child Care Centre Administrator Award for Exceptional Leadership & Commitment
The Niagara Child Care Sector Executive Committee is currently accepting nominations for Administrators (Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors, Managers and Executive Directors) of licensed child care centres. The nominee of this award should be an individual who demonstrates a high level of skill and commitment in their administrative role.
Please explain and provide examples of how the nominee demonstrates the higher-level skills and commitment in their administrative role. How does the nominee excel in the various areas listed below? Please ensure that your nominee has a ticket for the event. Only one nomination from each program site will be accepted. Please note that all of the nominations will be reviewed by a nomination committee comprised of Niagara Child Care Sector Executive members who are not licensed child care operators and one award recipient will be selected. This award is sponsored by the ECCDC and Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds. Supervisors and Principals are asked to submit information about their program by responding to the questions below. Over the past decade, research has demonstrated the important benefits of children connecting to nature. Collectively, this body of research shows that children's emotional, social, and physical health is positively impacted when children have daily contact with nature.
