Port Dalhousie Nursery School is a non profit, half day, co operative preschool that provides an educational and social base for children aged 2.6 to 4 years and their families. We promote learning in a fun, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment during the school calendar year.

We are searching for a highly motivated, dedicated experienced Early Childhood Educator or someone with preschool classroom experience. This individual is professional, team player, creative, warm, mature, patient, nurturing, with a wonderful sense of humour to provide exceptional educational experiences on a casual on call basis (supply). You will display strong leadership and effective communication skills. We are looking for a positive role model for “our children” and their families.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements…

*Be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators or have some experience in a preschool classroom setting.
*have a current and valid Standard First Aid/CPR Level C
*can provide a clear Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
*up to date immunizations which include Hepatitis B
*have working knowledge and experience with CCEYA, HDLH, ELECT, and QCCN

*develop and implement learning experiences for preschoolers that support all areas of their development
*supervise, observe and document the children’s learning and play experiences
*maintain an environment that protects the health, safety and well being of the children and fellow team members
*follow safe arrival and departure practices
