Experience working with children in educational and recreational settings preferred (but not required for all positions)
Some experience working with children with exceptionalities is an asset
Must love the outdoors
Special expertise in Science, Botany, and/or Ecology an asset
First Aid/CPR (current)

We're looking for enthusiastic and patient individuals to join our team for the summer of 2023!

The ideal candidates will have experience or interest in working with children, the ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances and a strong commitment to working as a team player. Camp Counselors are responsible for organizing activities for children, supervising and maintaining children's safety and helping with administrative tasks. Candidates will enjoy working outdoors, being part of a fast-paced environment and encouraging a love of nature and the outdoors!

Responsibilities:

Get to know children and their families.
Maintain a safe and positive outdoor environment for children.
Observe children's cues and respond to children's interests to offer activities and opportunities for learning, exploration and fun!
Be able to identify potential problems that could arise during the camp day and develop solutions for them.
Be a role model for the campers.
Work as a team with other team members.
Communicate effectively with children, parents and team members.
