Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate programs that foster children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment.
- Establish positive and open communication with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress and development.
- Observe and document children’s learning experiences, ensuring alignment with Ontario's Early Learning Framework.
- Collaborate with team members to create and implement engaging activities that meet individual learning needs.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to assistants and volunteers within the classroom.
- Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and all organizational policies and procedures.
- Foster an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates diversity.
- Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities as required.
